Dwight Yoakam's New Line of Lanky Links Sausage and Bakersfield Biscuits are Selling Briskly Throughout the country

Based on Success of Bakersfield Biscuit Line, Lanky Links Sausage Demand Is High

Acclaimed actor, director, producer and country superstar Dwight Yoakam is achieving rave reviews in the world of food retailing with the recent introduction of his Lanky Links sausage. Lanky Links are the latest offering in the line of Dwight Yoakam's Bakersfield Biscuits products.

"Some of my biscuit eatin' friends asked if I had any sausage they could try with the Bakersfield Biscuits. So, I had some sausage links made for them, and they liked them so much, we had to keep making them," said Yoakam.

The Lanky Links are currently available in Wal-Mart Supercenter stores nationwide, and will be available at additional retailers soon. "We've had a very positive response from consumers. The demand for Lanky Links is strong. Consumers know a good product when they taste it," said John Marburger of Modern Foods, the company marketing the product.

Lanky Links are the newest addition to Dwight Yoakam's Bakersfield Biscuits products, which also includes mouthwatering biscuits with sausage gravy, chicken stew, country style gravy, beef stew and beef chili. The biscuits, based on his Granny Earlene's recipe, are made with high quality ingredients with no preservatives or artificial flavors. Easy to prepare, the frozen dough goes into the oven and the "gravy" packet is heated in boiling water or the microwave. Within 20-minutes, a delicious any-time-of-day meal is ready to serve.

Dwight Yoakam's Bakersfield Biscuits are now available in Kroger stores in Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio; and Stater Bros. stores in Southern California. The biscuits are also available in Albertson's supermarkets in California, Texas, and Las Vegas, as well as all Marsh supermarkets in Indiana. Tom Thumb and Randalls supermarkets stock the biscuits, and they will also be available at Vons and Safeway stores in Southern California this Fall.
