Dwight Yoakam's Bakersfield Biscuits™ are now available throughout Southern California in Albertson stores and in Texas at Albertson's, Minyards, Diamond Food Market, selected Fiesta stores and Marketbasket food stores. The biscuits were launched in Albertson stores in California and Las Vegas earlier this month and received an overwhelming response from consumers and food retailers. Yoakam was inspired by the memory of the biscuits he ate as a child in Kentucky (that were made by his grandmother Earlene), as he worked to develop the recipe for "Dwight Yoakam's Bakersfield Biscuits." The biscuits are available in five main-dish selections, with easy-to-prepare sauce or gravy packets in five mouthwatering flavors for all-day meal solutions: Country Style Gravy, Sausage Gravy, Chicken Stew, Beef Stew and Beef Chili. The Grammy Award-winning entertainer, known for his critically acclaimed work in film and music, says that trading in his cowboy hat for a chef's hat was a happy accident. "I was joking with my friend Buck Owens awhile back about doing something 'special' for the opening of his club in Bakersfield, The Crystal Palace. I had biscuits made up for them to serve and they wanted more," said Yoakam.

Following his appearance on the "Tonight Show With Jay Leno," Yoakam took the "Bakersfield Biscuit Hour" on the road, joining Brooks & Dunn for the Neon Circus & Wild West Show. Dwight is on an 80-city tour in support of his new single, "Sittin' Pretty," scheduled for release on June 11th. The song is featured on the Warner Bros./Curb Records "Inside Traxx 2002," a NASCAR inspired album featuring 14 high-octane songs from country music's top artists.
