Product Line Continuing To Sell Briskly Across The Country
Multiple Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter/actor Dwight Yoakam has just announced the addition of Boom Boom Shrimp™ to his line of frozen food products. Boom Boom Shrimp™ are hand-selected Pacific white shrimp lightly breaded with a unique and innovative Buffalo-style seasoning. The distinctive breading makes the shrimp flavorful, yet still mild enough for the whole family to enjoy.
"Boom Boom Shrimp™ are as unique as their name," says Yoakam. According to Yoakam, fans of some of this other food products asked if he had any seafood items he could share. So Yoakam had a batch of Boom Boom Shrimp™ made up, "and they liked 'em so much, we had to keep on making 'em."
"We are hearing that this product is shaking up retailers' frozen seafood case. It's a category that is long overdue for the type of quality and innovation that we bring to retail food products," says John Marburger, President of Modern Foods. Boom Boom Shrimp™ are the first seafood item introduced under the Dwight Yoakam's Bakersfield Biscuits™ brand. Several more frozen seafood items are under development and will be introduced later this year. Dwight Yoakam's Lanky Links™ precooked pork sausages and Dwight Yoakam's Chicken Fries continue to dominate the frozen food case in their respective areas.
Boom Boom Shrimp™ are par-baked, tail-off shrimp which makes them easy to prepare. Simply take out as many shrimp as desired from the resealable bag and heat in a preheated oven for 10 minutes. "Just heat em' and eat em'," says Yoakam. Boom Boom Shrimp™ are perfect for appetizers or as a main course. Serving suggestions include using Boom Boom Shrimp™:
- In a Po' Boy-style sandwich
- As a substitute for cold cuts in a Cobb salad
- Right out of the oven dipped in barbecue sauce, blue cheese dressing, or a traditional tartar sauce
Boom Boom Shrimp™ are available nationwide in Wal-Mart Supercenter stores. They are located in the stand-up frozen seafood freezer case next to the fresh seafood case. The scrumptious product will be available in other fine retailers later this spring.
